Hey my name is Hugh Watkins and this is my blog.

I live in Woodstock, Georgia USA, which is a small suburb of Atlanta.

My primary job is working for Tandberg TV as Sr. Director as Software Engineering. We develop a variety software for the Cable Television Industry. I started out with a company called N2 Broadband, when it was a startup as employee number 12, we grew the business from less than a million in revenue to over 30 million, before being purchased by Tandberg for 120 million. If you have never worked for a startup, it's one of the most interesting jobs you can have, but it's not for the faint of heart.

I also have a small web development company, called Tail Life. The purpose of Tail Life is to develop web sites aimed at small niches. The site I'm working on right now is called Secret Falls. Secret Falls is built using Ruby on Rails, which is an great Web Development framework (more on that later). I have several more web sites in the pipeline for Tail Life, that will hopefully appeal to enough people to generate Ad revenue.
